Assessing the needs of non-profit organizations in Saudi Arabia
Summary
We conducted a nation-wide study of the needs of non-profit organizations in Saudi Arabia across sectors and provinces to establish a social fund which can address their financial challenges to support the sector development in line with the Vision 2030 objectives.
Story
The goal of the study was to understand and address the key challenges preventing non-profit organizations to grow and scale their impact in Saudi Arabia, and to introduce new public policies and initiatives to address the gaps.
We engaged non-profit organizations across regions and sectors through in-depth interviews, ethnographic observations, workshops, and focus group discussions , as well as key stakeholders such as foundations and government agencies.
Conclusion
As a result of the study, a social fund was established to support non-profit organizations to achieve financial sustainability, scale their operations, and deliver great social impact.
