Creating and running a leadership development program for non-profit sector leaders

We designed and delivered a leadership development programme for non-profit sector leaders and professionals from the public and private sectors exploring a career transition into the social sector in Saudi Arabia. The programme used case study-based interactive learning to address the sector's gap in leadership talent and attract new leaders from other sectors.

Challenge:

  • Few non-profit leaders with sharp competencies like public and private sector leaders

  • Few new leaders from the public and private sectors

Approach:

  • We used real-world international and local case studies which we developed into interactive content, activities, role plays, and group activities

  • We delivered the pilot training live in Riyadh

Outcome:

  • 30 leaders completed the programme Half of participants were non-profit sector leaders

  • Half of participants were considering a career change in the social sector
